BANKS, Roy C. age 80, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2011 at Hospice of Butler and Warren County where he had been a patient for one day. He was born January 26, 1931 in Middletown, OH to Scott and Martha (Oliver) Banks. He served our country during the Korean War in the US Air Force with an honorable discharge. He was a security guard for General Motors for 13 years, retiring in 1991. Roy was a member of Middletown Senior Citizens Center. Roy had a wonderful life and was loved by all who knew him. He always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters. Roy is survived by his wife, Betty D. (Brewer) Banks of 60 years; daughter, Patricia Reynolds of Monroe; granddaughter, Jennifer Reynolds of Monroe; grandson, Jeffrey Reynolds of Monroe and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Medical Center ER, ITU, CICU, Davita Dialysis, Dr. Frazer, Drs. Patel/Albers, Dr. Vuong, Dr. Solomito and Dr. Butler for their kindness and care. Visitation will be held Monday, June 13, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor James Anderson officiating. Interment will be at North Monroe Cemetery with Middletown Combined Honor Guard
