The funeral for Irene Grace Bartholomew will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Berne, with Rev. George Coy officiating. Burial will be in Berne Cemetery. Mr.s Bartholomew, 90, of West Concord, died Sunday 9 Oct 2005 at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, after a brief illness with cancer. Irene Grace Streiff was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Milton twp., Dodge county. she married Albert Bartholomew on Aug. 4, 1934, in Berne. She was lifelong member of Zwingli United Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing, quilting, playing cards, cooking and baking. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene (John) Vrieze of Spring Valley; three sons, Delmar (Margy) of West Concord, Donald of Hamburg, MN., and Bill (LaVonne) of Maple Grove, MN.; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and two gg grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Damon) Clements of Kelseyville, CA., and Joan Smithey of El Cajon, CA; and a borther, Dale (Jean) Streiff of Colorado Springs, CO. she was preceded in death by her husband, five borthers and a sister. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at West Concord Funeral Chapel, and from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. the family prefers memorials to Zwingli United Church of Christ, West Concord Fire/Ambulance or Seasons Hospice.
