Helen is survived by two children; Gary Auck and Sandra "Sandy" (Ray) Fankhauser both of Bucyrus; grandchildren Eric Randal Stinehelfer and fiancé Michelle Badertscher, Staqcey Marie (Kevin) Bowman, Stephanie Elaine Auck, Amanda Leigh Naufzinger, Joshua Charles Michael (Krystal) Auck, Lauren Odessa Mae Auck; great grandchildren Erica Michelle Bowman, Kobie Wayne Naufzinger, Mallory Alyse Stinehelfer, Kyle Marie Butler, Kendall Rae Naufzinger, Hoah Charles Butler, Kaley Marie Bowman and Joshua Charles Michael Auck II; as well as special friends Jean Feik and Roseanna Ruth.
Helen retired from the Chatfield Postal Service in 1972 and worked as a hostess and waitress for several local restaurants. She was a graduate of Chatfield High School in 1941 and graduated from Beauty School in 1942. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir. Helen was very active at the Council on Aging and served on the Advisory Board and Board of Trustees as well as being a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Helen enjoyed playing cards, flower gardening, cooking,working puzzles and reading books.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday in Good Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. David Bliss officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Good Hope Lutheran Church organ or piano fund as well as Home Care Matters.
