Funeral services for Herbert L. Birum Sr., 86, retired wreath manufacturer, will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Irving & Taylor, 77 Prospect Street.
The Rev. George Mather of Ewing Presbyterian Church will officiate, assisted by Mr. Birum's son-in-law, the Rev. Dwight Smith of the Baptist Church, Salamanca, N.Y. Interment will be in Ewing Church Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Mr. Birum died Thursday at his home, 29 Lincoln Court, Hamilton Township, after a long illness. He was born in Redwood Falls, Minn. and lived in Hamilton Township 32 years.
He formerly owned and operated the Birum Filled Wreath Company on Centre Street before retiring eight years ago. Mr. Birum previously had a plant in Chicago.
Surviving are his wife, Ella Gibson Birum; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Stimson, Missoula, Mont., Mrs. Dorothy Venrick of Bozeman, Mont., and Mrs. Beth Smith of Salamanca, N.Y.; a son, Herbert L. Birum, Jr. of Titusville; two sisters, Mrs. Ella F. Baker and Mrs. Millie Berkhimer, both of Hayfield, Minn.; and seven grandchildren.
