He was a former employee of the Connecticut Light and Power Co. for 27 years, until his retirement in 1956.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church; a 50 year member of Anchor Lodge 112, AF&AM; a 50 year member of Bellville Chapter 58, OES; and an Army veteran of World War I.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gerda Hallberg Lagerstrom; a daughter, Mrs. Grant Dodson of Acton, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Marie Larson in Sweden; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Spencer Funeral Home, 112 Main St., with the Rev. J. Roderick Rinnell officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Middle Haddam. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
