Norman Vaughn formerly of 3014 Oak Avenue, Altoona, died at 11:30 o'clock Thursday morning in St. Louis, Mo., where he had been located for the past 18 years, after an extended illness.

He was born March 17, 1887, in Altoona, He was the son of Thomas Willard Vaughn and Mary Elizabeth Knepper. He died
August 11, 1955 at City hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He married:
1. Minnie May Lewis, mother of Wallace, Virginia, and Rosemary Vaughn.
2. Catherine Lyle, mother of Donald and Cecelia Vaughn
3. Ida Cordell, mother of Norma and Shirley Vaughn.

He had earlier been employed as a blacksmith in the Altoona Works, also operating a used car lot.

Surviving are four children; Wallace and Donald of St. Louis, Mrs. Rosemary Swan and Mrs. Cecelia Poirrier of Altoona, 12 grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters, Leo, J. Fred and Miss Helen of Altoona, Mahlon of St. Louis and Mrs. Nora Miller of Venice, Ill.

While in Altoona, Mr. Vaughn was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Interment in St. Louis.
