BURROUGHS RITES SET

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Evenson's Chapel for Maud Agnes Burroughs, a former pioneer Ellensburg resident who died May 3 in Tacoma.

Mrs. Burroughs was born September 28, 1881, in Mount Vernon, and married George Burroughs September 5, 1908, in Seattle.

He died December 19, 1931.

While in Ellensburg, the Burroughs' operated the Ladies Ready-to-Wear store in the Olympic Block Building form 1911 to 1934, which was ultimately sold to Berrys.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tacoma where she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. James A. Lindsay, since September, 1944.

She is survived by her daughter in Tacoma, a sister, Mrs. Edith Gidlund, Olympia, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The Rev. William R. Van Ness will officiate at services and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
