John Bing Ferguson was the first child born to William Samuel and Sarah Alice Bing Ferguson. John was a lawyer in West Virginia and later in the state of Tennessee.
His first marriage was to Coralena Moffatt Hoylman on Oct 11, 1871 in Lawrence County, Ohio. Born to this union: Alice Virginia in July 1872. They divorced in Wayne County, West Virginia on Nov 10, 1874. Coralena did not appear for the divorce. Coralena moved to Nebraska and took little Alice with her and I don't think John saw her after that.
John then married Calista Crum on July 11, 1875 in Wayne County. Born to this union: Sarah Elizabeth and Emma Ernestine. Calista died in 1879 but I do not know the exact date or where she is buried. Sarah Elizabeth, my great grandmother was raised by her paternal grandmother Sarah Alice Bing Ferguson. Emma Ernestine died as a baby in 1877 and I do not know where she is buried.
John's third wife was Vicie Stratton from Logan County, West Virginia. They married on Aug 29, 1880 in Logan County. No children were born to this union.
After they divorced John married a fourth time to Minnie A. Clifford on June 4, 1890 in Henry County, Indiana. They moved to Tennessee.
Born to this union: Two sons, an unknown son born on May 28, 1891 and died in November 1898 and Milton Jamison Clifford Ferguson. John Bing was my great great grandfather.
