NIMS, Verl E., 75, of 5584 Rock Road, Sumas, died Saturday (Aug. 9, 1986) at home.

Born June 6, 1911, in Sumas, he was a lifetime Sumas resident.

Mr. Nims was a retired dairy farmer and attended Sumas Advent Christian Church.

He married Eileen Becker on Sept. 4, 1937, in Bellingham.

Survivors include his wife of the family home; a son, Eugene of Everson; four daughters, Gayle Nixon and Judith Nims, both of Bellevue, Joy Jordan of Kent and Gloria Smithey of Everson; a brother Harold Nims of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Beatrice Burr and Fay Kester of Anacortes; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sumas Advent Christian Church. The Rev. Earl Crouse will officiate.
