NIMS, Donald F. - Funeral services for Mr. Donald F. Nims, age 78, who died in Bellingham on Tuesday, September 27, (1983) were conducted on Friday, September 30 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sumas Advent Christian Church with Rev. Earl Crouse officiating.

Burial followed in Sumas Cemetery.

Mr. Nims, of 235 Gough Road, Sumas, was born on May 31, 1905 and had been a life-time Sumas area resident.

He had been employed by Puget Power as a hydro Operator for thirty years and was a member of the Electrical workers Union.

He was also a member of the Sumas Advent Christian Church and was married to his wife Pauline in Sumas on October 29, 1943.

He is survived by his wife Pauline; four sons, Larry and wife Barbara of Everson, Bill of Aiken, South Carolina, Bob and wife Ecco of Marysville and Jerry and wife Wanda of Baraboo, Wisconsin; a daughter, Mrs. Suzanne and husband Charles Siegwarth of St. Petersburg, Florida; eleven grand and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche and husband John Moore of Bellingham and Mrs. Dorothy and husband Harley Worthington of Yakima and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Sumas Advent Christian Church.

Funeral services were under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.
