Ruperta was born to Cirilo Saldana and Ramona Rodriguez in the year 1900. She had 4 siblings which included: Dario Saldana, Augustina Saldana, Filimena Saldana and Rogelia Saldana.
Ruperta married Cosmo Meza (est. year 1914) & had 8 children: John, Jennie (deceased in 1987), Dario (deceased in 1981), Lupe (deceased in 2007), Esther (deceased at age 15), Virginia (deceased in 2002), Sarah, and Samuel (deceased at age 10.)
Ruperta, along with her Husband and children moved from their residence in Wilmington, CA to Mexico during the great depression (early-mid 30's) where her husband, son Samuel, and daughter Esther passed away. The family moved back to the United States after their short residency in Mexico.
Ruperta re-married after being a widow, & became married to Elias Campos (her second husband). She and her family lived in Wilmington, CA for many years until her passing on October 12, 1987. She passed away one hour after her daughter, Jennie whom she is laid to rest next to along with her other daughter, Virginia who later passed in December of 2002.
