She grew up in the Paton community, attending school there and graduated in 1926. Music was very special to Beulah, and she gave piano lessons, helped arrange local musicals, and attended the Chicago Conservatory of Music.
On Jan. 1, 1930, Beulah married Mearle John Tonkinson at Bagley. The couple farmed on the Een Kupfer farm northeast of Grand Junction. Their daughter, Sharon Blythe Tonkinson, was born there. Mearle died in November 1963. Beulah moved to Rippey and worked as a bookkeeper at Rippey Savings Bank.
Beulah married Orlin Henderson in May 1967, in Nevada. Orlin died in April 1989. Beulah continued to live in their home in Rippey until she moved to Aurora, CO, in 1996 to live with her daughter.
Beulah had been a longtime member of the Methodist Church at Dana and Rippey. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 72 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Tonkinson; five nephews and three nieces; and her cousins: Rex, Lloyd, Barbara and Judy.
Funeral services were Aug. 3 at Rippey United Methodist Church. Rev Eric Guy, pastor of the church, officiated. Music was provided by vocalists Phyllis Bardole and Jean Borgeson, accompanied by Marjorie Vannatta. Also sharing in the service was Beulah's nephew, Darwin Will, and longtime fried Mrs. Dale Iverson. Casket bearers were Myron Rinker, Larry Burkett, Laurence Huber, Kevin Hick, Roger Norgren, Dennis Ulrich and Jim Godwin. Interment was at Paton Township Cemetery.
