Source: 1883-1949 Hamilton County obits Binder in North Hamilton Library in Cicero, Indiana. Mrs. Leota Hiatt, age 73, widow of Alonzo Hiatt, died Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Lindsay, in Indianapolis. She went to Indianapolis ten weeks ago to visit her daughter and was taken ill there. Funeral services will be held at the Aroma Methodist church of which she was a member, Wednesday. The family formerly lived in White River township but moved to Elwood about nine years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Funk, Anderson, Mrs. Lindsay, Indianapolis, and Mrs. C. L. Quear, Kansas City, Mo., four grandchildren, William and Blanton Quear in the armed forces, Mrs. Joyce Klein, Indianapolis, and Miss Betty Funk, Anderson, and one great grandson, William Earl Quear, Los Angeles, Calif and two brothers, Owen and Nola Beeson, both of near Aroma. Mrs. Hiatt, before her marriage was Miss Leota Beeson.
