Linus A. Odelius, 51, a machinist at the Twin Disc Clutch company, died Tuesday night in Chicago at Billings Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient two weeks. Death followed a brief illness.

Rites will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Christenson funeral home, 925 3rd Avenue. Dr. Albert Loreen, pastor of First Lutheran church, will officiate and interment will be in Scandinavian cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday between 7 and 8 p.m.

Mr. Odelius, who lived on Orchard Avenue, Rural Route No. 3, was born Jan. 16, 1896 in Rockford and was married on June 3, 1922 to Freda Nelson at Milaca, Minn., where they lived until coming to Rockford five years ago.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Hansing, Mrs. Ralph Holmbeck, Jr., and Miss Janice Odelius, all of Rockford; his aged mother, Mrs. Selma Odelius, Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Swanson, Rockford, and Mrs. Paul Strom, St. Paul, Minn., and two brothers, Leroy Odelius, Rockford, and Paul Odelius, Milaca.
