Talmon J. Jordan was the son of Henry Talmon Jordan and Arrie Beatrice Steadman Jordan.

TALMON JORDAN
Talmon J. Jordan, 56, of 3250 Russell died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Faith, Hwy. 277.
Born Sept. 10, 1919, at Eula, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He received the Purple Heart and two Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr Jordan attended school in Eula and was a mechanic for Western Chevrolet Co. in Abilene for 20 years. He married Evangeline Howard May 18, 1945, at Abilene and moved to Abilene from Eula in 1945.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, David and Mark, both of the home; two daughters, Nancy and Sandra, both of the home; four brothers, C.E. and Albert Jordan, both of Abilene, Vernon Jordan of Anson and Henry Jordan of Odessa; four sisters, Edith Franklin of Pasadena, Calif., Ethel Turner of San Angelo, Loleta Kirkendall of Clyde and Almeta McCraw of Abilene; and two grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
