Mrs. Laura A. Carson, 82, formerly of 380 W. Slate St., Pleasantville, died early Sunday morning Dec. 23, 1979, at her daughter's home in Cooperston, with whom she resided
Mrs. Carson was born in Erie, July 19, 1897 a daughter of the late B.P. Hogan & Mary Osborne Hogan. She married Harry L. Carson who died Jan. 17, 1974.
Mrs. Carson was formerly employed as a private duty nurse in area homes and hospitals until the early 1930s. She also worked for the A&P Tea Company for 12 years, and later for the Great American Tea Co. for 11 years.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Pleasantville: a member of the Cleo J. Ross Post, 368, American Legion Auxiliary: and the American Home Watchmen.
Mrs. Carson is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Martin (Florence) Osborne of Titusville and Mrs. Robert (Harrietta) Anderson of Cooperstown: and four grandchildren" Mrs. James (Phyllis) Foul of Irving, Tex.: Mrs. David (Eillen) Sopher of Titusville: Martin E Osborne of Wasilla, Alaska: and Robert L. Anderson of Cooperstown: and seven great-grandchildren.
A brother John Hogan, and a daughter, Dorothy Burkett, died previously.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 pm Wednesday at Leo N. Hennes Funeral Home and attend the funeral service there at 2 p.m. Thusday with Rev. Joseph Stains, pastor of the Luper Chapel, United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
