VERNON GRADY HARDY, 72 died Friday, June 15, 1979 after an extended illness. He was a Veteran of WW II and retired Postal Work for the U.S. Post Office for some thirty years. He is survived by his wife, Emma Hardy, Houston; sisters, Mrs. Jeffie Browning and Ruby Ashby, both of Tyler; Mrs. Annie Mae Mueller, Gladewater; brothers, Laut Hardy, Art and Ralph Hardy, Brownfield, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Pearson Funeral Chapel, Overton, Texas with burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Arp, Texas. There will be family visitation Saturday, June 16, 1979 until 12:00 Noon at GEO H. LEWIS & SONS, 2530 Sage Rd. At Westheimer, 621-6500.
