John Morgan Lennon, of Mustang, Oklahoma, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 12, 2011. John was born in Pawhuska, OK to parents, Floyd C. and Lily Thelma Lennon. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anna Marie Lennon of Mustang, Oklahoma; and one sister, Lou Ann (Lennon) Brochu of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lois E. (Lennon) Nabors of Sand Springs, OK; a beloved Uncle John Morgan of Weleetka; and Aunt Geneva Martin of Weleetka, OK. John attended Franklin Elementary, Pawhuska, OK; Woodrow Wilson Junior High in Tulsa, OK; Will Rogers High School, Tulsa, OK. John served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. Work History: 43 years and retired November 2000. He owned and operated the Mustang Pharmacy from 1971-1979 and worked in private pharmacies until retirement. John loved studying the Word of God; he took spiritual insights gained and taught others from the heart. Along with Roger Stevens, John worked in the Prison Ministry at the Federal Prison at FAA in Oklahoma City over 10 years. As an effective teacher, he asked questions and passed on information for people to think how to apply God's principles to their lives and learn to communicate with others in a positive way. John Lennon, first and foremost, was the Gold Standard in character and behavior. Was an active member of The Bridge Assembly of God in Mustang, OK. Loved music, gardening and landscaping; took flying lessons. In conclusion, how does one define John Lennon? He was loved by his family and all who knew him. His keen intellect, knowledge of God's Word, kindness to all he met and good humor only partly define his character He was an exemplary, loving human being, and he will be missed by all. His level of inspired insights was his gift to all those who sat under his teachings. More than anything else, he was a wonderful son, brother, husband and friend. Special thanks go to all the doctors, nurses, and medical assistants on the third floor of the ICU Unit at Integris Southwest Medical Center and the staff on the second floor of Select Specialty Hospital of Oklahoma City, OK and to all the friends who visited, sent flowers and cards and offered their prayers, love and support. Services to celebrate his life will be at The Bridge, A/G, 1116 W. Hwy. 152, Mustang, OK, at 2pm, on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, under the direction of McNeil Funeral Service.
