He is survived by his wife, Alice S.(Rummel) Baker whom he married on August 4, 1946; sons, David (Sandie) Baker of Newark, Ohio and Rev.Dr. Dennis (Debbie) Baker of Zanesville, Ohio; brother, William E. (Jane) Baker of Saint Louisville, Ohio; sister, Ruth (William "Bill") Young of Heath, Ohio; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mable (Wilken) Baker of Saint Louisville, Ohio; one brother and two sisters.

He served in the U.S. Army as an engineer in 1943-1946 during The Battle of Okinawa.

He was graduate of Utica High School.
