Rosemary Brunger Hugo, 95, of Idaho Falls, passed away Jan. 13, 2004 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. She was born April 3, 1909 in Boise, a daughter of Walter J. Brunger and Emma Catherine Shuey Brunger. She graduated from Boise High School, Gregg Business School and attended St. Alphonsus School of Nursing. She was the first Miss Boise in 1928. She married Charles John Hugo on Dec. 20, 1938 in Burbank, Calif. She had worked for the Bonneville County Assessor office and was Office Manager for Fanning Wholesale until she retired. Rosemary and husband Charles enjoyed dancing, hunting and fishing, loved Yellowstone National Park, enjoyed several cruises, travel-trailer trips in Canada, U.S.A. and Mexico and spending winters in Ariz. Her greatest joy was her family. She was able to hold her five week-old great-great-granddaughter two days before her death. She was survived by her husband, Charles John Hugo of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Maureen of Blackfoot, ID; a son, James of Arvada, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lenora Wynn of Vista, Calif.; Dorothy Hansen of Boise and Kathryn Durham of San Marcos, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and two sisters. Memorial services were held on Monday, Jan. 19, 2004 at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th St. in Idaho Falls with Judge James Herndon officiating.
