She lived in Durant and Marlow, Oklahoma before moving to Abilene, Texas. Her brothers and sisters included Cora Maybell, Sidney King, Fred, B.D (Beedy), Alene (Lena), Jeremiah (Jerry), David Lawrence, and Edward Lee (Leander). Children: Madesta, Oscar Levi Jr., Rondall Edward, Gayzelle, and Ruenelle. 12 grandchildren. Active in the Democratic Party, Baptist Church, and Church of Christ.
