John Roger was the 17th child born on Monday,April 21, 1952 to Harvey Lavern and Inez Lorene(Shaffer) Baldwin of McCune, KS. He died on Thursday,May 22, 1952 being one month and one day old. He was a "blue baby" and had been on oxygen. He was survived by his parents, 7 brothers, Lynn ,Ralph ,Robert,Allan,Leon, Gary and Randy Baldwin, 7 sisters, Irene, Marjorie, Jean, Kay, Lois, Coralie and Cheryl Baldwin all of the home. 2 brothers, Herman Eugene and Richard Glenn preceded him in death. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon and burial was at the Myers Cemetery near Girard, KS.
