Ancil was born to Andrew and Deborah Ogg (Carr) in about 1855. He was found on the 1860 Ohio, Athens Co., Rome Township federal census as Andrew A. Ogg 5 years old (we think he just switched his middle with his first name). He came to Washington State and married Lucy C. Leonard on December 10, 1887 in Yakima. They had two known sons Fred Leonard Ogg b. 1888 and Philip A. Ogg b. 1891. He had a brother, Samuel Carleton Ogg, who lived in Shelton, WA. He died in the Ahtanum Valley of Typhoid Fever on November 20, 1898. He is buried in Yakima in the Tahoma Cemetery, City Section, Block 8, Lot 5, SW1/4. There was a very short obituary in the Yakima Herald on November 24, 1898 p.5 He has also been found on the Washington Territorial Census for Yakima County in the years of 1885 & 1887.
