William A. Brown

SALEM – William A. Brown, 61, of Rt. 1, Salem, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 4.

He was born March 1, 1932, in Jarvisville, a son of the late George W. Brown and Icy Coffindaffer Brown.

On Aug. 5, 1955, he married Pauline Schmidt, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, James W. Brown and Joseph W. Brown, both of Salem, and John P. Brown, West Milford; two daughters, Mrs. David (Shila J.) Doak, Wolf Summit, and Mrs. Joseph (A. Marie) Okronley, Annapolis, MD; one sister, Mrs. Chester (Ethel) Queen, Jarvisville; three granddaughters, Brandie N. Brown, Hannah J. Brown and Dana R. Brown, and two nieces, Juanita Osborne and Elizabeth Yeager.

Mr. Brown was a Baptist. He was owner and operator of Brown's Limestone of Jarvisville.

Friends will received from 3 – 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Monday at Greathouse Funeral Home, Salem Chapel. The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Benjamin Simmons, pastor of Enon Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Jarvisville Baptist Cemetery.
