OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Andrew Wilson Shepherd, 82, 791 N. State Road 115, died at 12:24 p.m. Friday at Wabash County Hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Greenup County, Ky., to Brice and Frances (Oliver) Shepherd.

He was a farmer. He was affiliated with the First Church of God, Wabash. Mr. Shepherd married Blanche Saunders March 27, 1939, in Kentucky; she died Dec. 13, 1994.

He is survived by four sons; William, Ron, and Randy, all of Wabash, Andy Shepherd of Rockford, Ill; and two daughters; Deloris (Dick) Harrell of Wabash, and Roselea (Paul) Caldwell of Rome City. A brother, Curtis, lives in Lake Placid, Fl. Also surviving are 32 grandchildren and 61 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a daughter, a sister, two brothers, and a grandchild.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Manchester Avenue Chapel, Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service. The Rev. Terry Canfield will officiate. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the First Church of God, Wabash.
