William Hersey passed away from complications following his battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was a resident of the Antelope Valley Convalescent Home in Lancaster CA.
William Alfred Hersey was born on 3 February 1925 to Thomas T. & Ruth (Doane) Hersey, He was the 4th of their 6 sons. After graduating from High School at Mitchell Senior High, he went to Minneapolis for his military physical, but was rejected for flat feet, so he went with his oldest brother to Marion Indiana to study. It was there that he met and fell in love with a little Irish girl Juanita McCleery. They were married on the 24th of August 1946 and they were married for almost 52 years when Juanita Passed away in 1998. In 1999 while living in Rosamond California, he met Arayda Looney at chuch and they were married the following August.
He was preceded in death by his parents, all 5 brothers and their wives. His second wife Arayda passed away 6 months after Bill
He is survived by all seven of his children.
