FANNY SLAUGHTER

Funeral services for Fanny Losee Slaughter, 83, of 707 O’Donnell St., were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Vase Funeral Chapel. Bishop James Curry of the LDS Church officiated, and interment was in the Mountain View section of the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Gatti, Floyd Kaul, Emil Bartolic, Ted Tynsky, Angelo Anselmi and Eugene J. Magsmen.

Mrs. Slaughter died Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Kimberly Manor Nursing Home where she had been a patient since June 21.

A former resident of Winton and Las Vegas, Nev. and longtime resident of Rock Springs, Mrs. Slaughter died following a lengthy illness. She was born on Nov. 19, 1896 in Panguitch, Utah, the daughter of the late David Alma and Sarah Angeline Ames Losee.

She attended schools in Payton and Hinckley, Utah and married Robert K. Slaughter in Hinckley, Utah on June 27, 1914. Mrs. Slaughter was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the V.F.W. Auxiliary, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the Young-at-Heart Senior Citizens.

Survivors include her husband, Robert K.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Vaun) Telck, both of Rock Springs; two sons, Dee of Green River, Russ of Hawthorne, Calif.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Verle, five brothers and five sisters.
