Jean was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1939. She retired in 1975 from Guide-Lamp, formerly of Anderson after 30 years of employment. She was a member of the Church of Saint Mary at Alexandria and the Daughters of Isabella of the church. She was a long time member of the Alexandria Association of Widowed People and the Alexandria Senior Guild. She was a former member of the Alexandria Eagles Auxiliary and Omega Nu Tau sorority. She had also served as a Pink Lady volunteer at Community Hospital-Anderson. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, and bingo and was an avid player of all card games. She dearly loved her family and especially her daughters which have been her primary caregivers during her lengthy illness.
