Pallbearers all nephews, were Paul and Robert Crock, Mechanicsville; Herbert Crock, Olin; Jack Crock, Cedar Rapids; Donald Crock, Arlington, Illinois, and Raymond Crock, Jr., Tipton. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
Crock suffered a heart attack while attending a meeting at St. Mary's church in Mechanicsville November 14 and died November 16 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.
Norbert Urban Crock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Crock was born January 2, 1900, at Harrietsville, Ohio. He came to Iowa at an early age, and farmed southwest of Clarence until January 2, 1956, when he and his wife moved to Mechanicsville.
He is survived by his wife, Edith, whom he married June 29, 1927, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport; his mother, Iowa City; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Genevieve) Platner, Mechanicsville; and Mrs. Orva (Adeline) Phillis, Tipton; one son, Edward N. Clarence, and eight grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Clarence, Mechanicsville, and Raymond and Leander, Tipton; and one sister, Sister Mary Philomena, Iowa City. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Crock was treasurer of the Men's Council and a member of the Holy Name society of St. Mary's church, Mechanicsville, and a past director of Fairfield township Farm Bureau.
