ELKTON - Final rites for Hubert James Michael, 38, a well known resident of this section, will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Mt. Zion EUB Church.

The Rev. S. E. Madren and the Rev. Wilbert Jay will have charge of the services, with burial in the McGaheysville Cemetery.

The body now rests at the Brill Funeral Home, where it will remain until Friday at 12:30 p.m., when it will be placed in the church. Relatives are asked to meet at home of his aunt, Mrs. Clara Life, near here, Friday at 1:15 p.m. for a brief service prior to leaving for the church. The family will be at the Brill Funeral Home here Thursday, from 7:30 until 8:30 p.m. to receive their friends. Friends and pallbearers are asked to meet at the church at 1:45 Friday.

Pallbearers will be: Ellis Lam, Melvin Stover, Theodore Lam, Raymond Rimel, James Lilly and Marshall Hensley.

Mr. Michael died Tuesday evening in the Arlington Hospital.

He was a son of Oscar Michael, and the late Mary Pearl Lilly Michael, and was born July 17, 1921, in the Elkton section.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion EUB Church. He served in the Navy during World War II, and until recently had been employed at the Merck & Company plant here.

He married Miss Lorene Alger, on May 4, 1945, and she died December 4, 1952. Since that time, he had made his home with his aunt, Mrs. Clara Life, near here. Besides his father and step-mother, he leaves the following children: Hubert James Michael, Jr., Roger Lee Michael, and Kay Lavonne Michael, all at home; one brother, Aldine Michael, of Elkton; three half-sisters, Mrs. Johnny Huddle and Mrs. Raymond Hensley, of Elkton; and Mrs. Harry Meyerhoeffer, of Penn Laird; and one half-brother, Donnie Michael of Penn Laird.
