Alden Bascom Dye, 92, (

Born April 15, 1915 in Ru
sell County, he was a son cf
the late Cane and Virginia
Perkins Dye.
A lifelong resident of the
Swords Creek area, he was
a member of the Pine Creek
Pole Church for over 30
years. He was a disabled coal
miner, having been employed
by Meadows Coal Company
In addition to his parents
he was preceded in death by
his first wife, Jettie Dye; sec
ond wife, Beulah Dye; one
daughter, Shirley Sanders
one grandson, Douglas Dye;
and several brothers and
sisters. In his generation, he
was the last surviving member
of his immediate family.
Survivors: daughter, Jean
Dye and husband, Harold,
of_Swords Creek; sons, Russell
Dye and wife, Ruby, anc
Limuel Dye and wife, Ruby
all of Swords Creek; step
daughters, Helen McReynolds
and husband, Bill, of

The funeral was conducted
at 7:30 p.m. July 14 in the
Honaker Funeral Home Chapel,
Honaker, with Rev. Ancil
Childress, Rev. Katie Miller,
Rev. Grady McGlothlin, and
Bro. Jerry Hess officiating.
Graveside services were
conducted at 1 p.m. July 15
in the Leonard Dye Family
