Buel married 'Froney' Garland and had children, Millie (Brown), Lillie (Bearden), Lyndia (McKenzie), Milburn, Milton 'Babe', Wilburn and McKinley.
Buel and Froney lived their last several years on a farm owned by Bart Bearden, and later owned by Dock Bearden, in the Macedonia area of Fannin County. Both Buel and Froney were long time members of the Macedonia Church of Christ and both are buried there, as are other members of the family.
