"Jim Duggins Monday was my maternal grandfather. He was married to Alice Hester Wright. My mother's maiden name was Jimmie Lee Monday, her married name was DAVEY. Gwendolyn Lucille Wright was the step daughter of Jim Monday. My mother's brother's names were Bobby Leon Monday, and are Charles David Monday and Billy Ralph Monday. Her full sisters names are Patricia Evelyn Monday and Sally Ann Monday. Twins that died at birth were Robert and Roberta."

NAMPA — Graveside services for James D. Monday, 67, of 412½ Seventeenth Avenue North, Nampa, who died Thursday of natural causes at home, will he conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Frank M. Marler, pastor emeritus of the Nampa First Christian Church, under the direction of Flahiff Chapel, Nampa. There will be no cortege and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

He was born May 31, 1909, at Tupelo, Miss., where he attended schools until he moved to the Indian territory of Oklahoma in 1920. He married Alice Wright in 1930, at Cordell, Okla. They lived in Oklahoma until they moved to Oregon in 1940. He worked as a farm laborer. He moved to Nampa and lived in Oregon and Oklahoma before returning to Nampa in 1970, when he retired due to poor health.

Surviving are three sons, Bob, Nampa, Charles, Jacksonville, Ore., and Bill, Grants Pass, Ore.; four daughters, Gwen Sanders, Medford, Ore., Jimmy Davey, Oklahoma City, Okla., Patricia Jones, Hayfork, Calif., and Sally Ansett, Shady Cove, Ore.; a sister, Kathryn Dickenson, California; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
