HAMILTON - Patti L. Blodgett, 65, of Polson and formerly of Hamilton, left this world to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, due to a sudden illness. She passed away at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula. Patti was born May 13, 1943, in Burns, Ore., where she graduated from high school. She attended Nazarene College and eventually graduated with a degree in history and counseling at the University of Montana. Patti was hired as a counselor at Victor High School where she met her husband Max. They were married Dec. 27, 1978. She loved to work with students during her counseling years. Patti had one child, Bobi Blodgett Anderson, who was a joy to her life. One of the other great joys in life was playing the piano at the local churches. She has played the piano since she was 8 years old. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Polson.
Survivors include her husband, Max; daughter, Bobi (Warren) Blodgett Anderson; brother, Claude (Paula) Usrey of Southerland, Ore.; sister, Winnie Spoon of Orofino, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pattie was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Kattie Usrey. A visitation and reception will be held 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton. Private family interment will take place at the Blodgett Family Cemetery in Hamilton.
