Clerinda married Peter Skaggs on March 20, 1823 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. They settled in Johnson County, Kentucky and had the following children:
John D. 1826-1900 m Lucinda Rigsby
Solomon 1832-1865
Nancy 1835-1914 m. Henry Rigsby 1834-1902
Thursey 1837-1928 m. George Perry
Sarah "Polly" b. 1839 m. Willis Rigsby
Thomas b. 1842 m. Nancy Cantrell
Peter J. 1844-1911
Arthur 1849-1929
Per family records shared by me21cs on Ancestry:
Clerinda (died in infancy abt 1832)
James (died in infancy abt 1840)
I have not been able to find death records for Clerinda or Peter. I do know the following:
In 1850, Peter and Clerinda are living in Johnson County, Kentucky with their children; Solomon, Nancy, Thursey, Sarah, Thomas, Peter, and Arthur.
In 1860, they are still living in Johnson County with their children; Thomas, Peter and Arthur. Clerinda cannot read or write. Peter cannot write.
In 1870, they are living in Flatgap, Johnson County, Kentucky and listed on the same census page are the following children with their families; Thomas (wife Nancy); Arthur (wife Lucinda); Peter (wife Martha).
I do not find Peter and Clerinda on the 1880 census in Flatgap. So, at this time, I only know that they died sometime after the 1870 census.
Clerinda's actual birth year and place: If you calculate according to the 1850 and 1860 census, she would have been born in 1810. According to the 1870 census, her birth year would be 1801. I'm erring on the side that she may have wanted to seem younger than she really was in those earlier years. Census records list both North Carolina and Virginia as her places of birth.
Also, at this time, I have no proof of her parents. I've read they are -

However, I have also read family paperwork that says her parents are - William Prince and La Rue Fyffe
