KEWAUNEE—Funeral rites for Mrs. Joseph J. Augustine, Town of Carlton native, were held Monday from St. Joseph's church, Norman, with interment at the parish cemetery. Mrs. Augustine died at a Kewaunee hospital Saturday, her death coming unexpectedly after an apparent successful operation performed Jan. 8.
Mrs. Augustine, nee Olive Arpin, was born Mar. 23, 1896. She was married to Joseph Augustine Oct. 1, 1912. They always lived on a Carlton town farm.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Edward Koudelka, West Kewaunee, and Mrs. Clarence Sager, Carlton, and five sons, Gilbert, Manitowoc, Pvt. First Class James of Compo, Calif., Donald, at home, and, Maynard and Milton, Denmark. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Arpin, Kewaunee, two brothers, Frank Arpin, Kewauneee, and William Arpin, Two Rivers, and seven grandchildren.
