US Congressman. Elected to represent Massachusett's 9th and 13th Districts in the United States House of Representatives, serving from 1919 to 1935, and 1937 to 1941. Also served as a Member of the Massachusetts State House of Representatives in 1899, and 1901 to 1908, Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts from 1912 to 1913, and Delegate to Massachusetts State Constitutional Convention in 1917.
