Last rites for Willie Roy Whitehead, 58, of 704 East First Street, who died Monday night, were held this afternoon in the North Rome Methodist Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Floyd Walden and the Rev. O. E. Rutland officating. Burial was in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Forrest Rhinehart, Frank Russell, John King, C. A. Taylor, Reece Johnston and Walter Payne.

Funeral services for Willie Roy Whitehead, 58, of 704 East First Street, who died Monday night, will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the North Rome Methodist Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Floyd Walden and the Rev. O. E. Rutland will officiate. Burial will be in East View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include M. P. Otts, G. L. Sutton, John King, C. A. Taylor, Reece Johnston and Walter Payne.
The remains will lie in state in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home until time for the services and pallbearers are requested to meet there at 2:40 o'clock.

DIES MONDAY
Willie Roy Whitehead, 58, of 704 East First Street died last night. He had been in declining health for the past eight years.
Born in Floyd County, Mr. Whitehead had spent his entire life here. He was a member of the North Rome Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former May Carlson; and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Clanton, of Rome and Mrs. Edward Leigh, of Clinton, Iowa.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Jennings Funeral Home.
