Ludie Drake Adams, 91, of Rocky Bottom, widow of Doyle R. Adams, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Petra Health and Rehab in McCormick, SC.

Born in Belton, SC, and a native of Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Wardlaw Todd Drake and Louise Dickson Drake.

Mrs. Adams was a graduate of Greenville High School and attended Lander College. She retired from Mayfair Mills after 33 years of service. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church serving as Treasurer of the United Methodist Women for many years, served on Pickens City Council for thirteen years and was formerly employed with Dillard Funeral Home.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Samuel W. Adams and Bonnie Bukler Adams of McCormick; three granddaughters, Amanda A. Williams, Ashley A. Bagwell and Andrea A. Sarvis; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Horace L. Drake.

Graveside services for Mrs. Adams will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 1:00 PM in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends immediately following at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 309 E. Cedar Rock St., Pickens, SC 29671.

The family will be at their respective homes.
