Robert H. "Gus" Gustafson, 78, of N. Warren, PA. died Thursday morning, October 21, 2010 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice Home, Warren, PA. He was born October 28, 1931 in Warren, PA. to the late Roland and Alice Hill Gustafson. He has resided in Warren his entire life and was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School. He had served in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War as a Staff Sergeant, where he earned a Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He was employed for 32 years with the former Bell Telephone and Lucent Technologies as a PBX Installer, retiring in 1985. He then worked privately for 24 years in phone installation and service problems. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a 32nd degree member of the former Joseph Warren Lodge now the Stillwater Blue Lodge of Youngsville, PA. He was a member of the Warren Elks, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Kiwanis Club, American Legion Post 135, Zem Zem Hornets, was a past jester of Erie, PA., 33rd Degree member with the Coudersport Consistory.

Gus had been involved with the North Warren Volunteer Fire Dept. Ambulance Service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed spending time at his camp. His grandchildren were a very big part of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Geraldine "Jerry" Downey Gustafson whom he married April 17, 1954 in Warren, PA. 1 Daughter Kimberly G. Jedrek and husband, Leonard of Warren, PA., 1 Son Randy L. Gustafson and wife, Debbie of Bloomsburg, PA., Grandchildren Amanda Ross and husband, Mike, Erin Jedrek, Brandon Gustafson, Ashlee Gustafson, Meaghan Jedrek, Jennifer Gustafson, Taylor Jedrek.
