For 12 years, he lived in Key West, FL where he owned several businesses including an ice cream shop, dive shop, and scooter and bike rental company with concierge office.
In 1999 he returned to Maine to live in Kennebunk to help care for his partner Thomas' mother Ann. She died in 2001. While here in Kennebunk, they were the owners of the Flaming Gourmet in Kennebunkport and Ogunquit, which sells sauces and other food items.
Paul enjoyed life. He loved being around his family and friends, especially his granddaughter. He was a loving, giving, caring and lighthearted person, and a true friend to many.
