Formerly known as Maria K. King; the daughter of Ralph Piikoi King and Ruby Kaonohiokala (Pua) King.

Adopted by her maternal grandfather, Samuel Kaholookalani Pua in 1924 shortly after her mother's death that same year. Raised by Samuel's second wife, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Keliiokahekili (Ahu) Waiolama Pua after his death in 1932.

Formerly known as Maria K. King; the daughter of Ralph Piikoi King and Ruby Kaonohiokala (Pua) King.
