Charlie Clinard Jackson Jr., 42, of Connelly Springs, N.C. passed away Saturday May 21st 2011 as the result of an automobile accident.
Charlie was born December 1st 1968 in Caldwell county to the late Charlie Clinard Jackson Sr. and Linda Pauline Hicks Jackson. In addition to his father Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Janice Charlene Jackson. Surviving are his mother Linda Pauline Hicks Jackson of Connelly Springs, and his brother Edward Laine Jackson of Connelly Springs,his fiancee Angie Renae Rice, and his beloved canine companion(s)Gypsy,(and Little Bit.)
Charlie is also survived by a stepdaughter Nikki Rae Chaney and her children Sheyenne Rae Deyton, Grasyn Mae Coffey, and Mason Alexander Shuford all of Morganton. Also surviving is a stepson Jimmy Dean Chaney of Asheville.
Charlie was a member of Church of God Union Assembly in Icard.
Charlie graduaated from East Burke High School in 1987.
Charlie was an avid outdoorsman. He loved deer hunting and fishing.A member of the NRA, he also had a great love of firearms as well as collecting them. Charlie loved Chevys. He was especially fond of his 1966 Chevelle. Charlie also enjoyed driving around the mountains and country roads.
Charlie loved his family and friends, and would do anything he could to help them. They loved him too. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27, at 12:15 p.m. at Calvary Memorial Gardens, Connelly Springs, with the Rev. Jesse Crowder officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11 to 12 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Service.
