Mrs. McQuagge was born the daughter of William Henry and Frances Isabella Johns on August 18, 1910, in Washington County, Fla.
She grew up in Washington County and was a lifelong member of Gap Pond Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. McQuagge was preceded in death by her former husbands, the Rev. Daniel Walters and Alton McQuagge.
She is survived by her daughters, Doris Walters Burnsed of Lynn Haven, Fla., and Jeannie Walters Hall of Benecia, Calif.; sons, Daniel H. Walters and his wife, Reba, of Southport, and Robert E. Walters of Bonifay, Fla.; stepson, Olan McQuagge; daughter-in-law, Thelma Holcomb and her husband, James, of Easley, S.C.; sister-in-law, Beatrice Walters Milton of Gainesville, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Ave., with Pastor Mike Walters and Pastor Buford Pippin officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home
