Mrs. Phoebe A. Rath, 92, a lifelong resident of the Bryan area, died at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Hillside Nursing Home, route 2, Bryan, where she had been a patient about five years. Mrs. Rath was seriously ill for four weeks. The widow of Charles E. Rath, who died in 1955, she was born March 5, 1877 in Defiance county. She was a member of the Pulaski Methodist church. Surviving are two sons, Charles Raymond of Stryker and M.B. of Lorain; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Beulah) Smith of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. John A. (Catherine) Corwin of Bryan; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and a brother, Frederick Andres of Pioneer. The body is in the Cretors Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending. -The Bryan Times, April 28, 1969
