The remains of John H Via son of Anderson H Via the well known member of the county court who died on Wednesday morning at his home near Indian Mills, were buried near Indian Mills after funeral services at the Indian Mills Church, at one o'clock.
The death of Mr Via has cast a gloom over that section where he was so well and favorably known. He was 30 years of age and had been making his home with his parents, who with three sisters, Mrs W B Skaggs of Hinton, Mrs Edgar Carden of Athens and Miss Kate Via of Indian Mills and one brother, Dr Geo Via of Maybury survive.
Mr Via was taken ill on Sunday but not considered serious. He grew worse however and very rapidly until Wednesday morning at one o'clock when he passed away.
Mr Via was a member of the Baptist Church of Indian Mills and a young man of excellent habits. He will be sadly missed in that section where he was so well known.
