Inscription

In the Hale Connecticut Cemetery Database of gravestones at the Cleaveland Cemetery at Canterbury is the simple entry of "Tyxhall Ensworth," the only Ensworth entry shown and without further detail. This suggests that when this cemetery was initially inventoried there was a gravestone for Tyxhall, but for some reason no further inscription was available. Then in the 1916 reinspection of the cemetery and printing of full gravestone inscriptions in the NEHGS Register (vol. 70) no entry for any Ensworth appears, suggesting that by 1916 Tyxhall's gravestone either no longer existed or not legible or identifiable.
