This photo is of the wedding of William Mohring and Adeline S. Turner on August 25, 1920 at Sparta, Wisconsin. Witnesses were Orrin Mohring and Mattie Turner. Revered H. W. Schmeling officiated. (from the marriage record in Sparta, Monroe County, Wisconsin).

Orrin was William's youngest brother and Mattie was Adeline's sister. William was 31 and employed as a farmer in the Town of Angelo (Monroe County) at the time of marriage (according to the marriage record).

From the LaCrosse Tribune obituary, Tuesday, August 16,1955: "William H. Mohring, 65, of 1012 John St., Sparta, died Sunday of a heart attack while vacationing at Duluth, Minn.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Lanham Mortuary with burial in the Lutheran Cemetery. Rev H. W. Winkel will officiate. Friends may call at the Lanham Mortuary Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Mr. Mohring is survived by his wife, Adeline, and several brothers and sisters."
