Rachel A. Shockley, 20, of Salisbury, passed peacefully, Thursday, June 23, 2011, following a long courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loving family and friends.

Rachel graduated from Parkside High School in 2008 and studied at Salisbury University, where she was an English major. On campus, she was an active supporter of BT GLAS and Relay for Life. Rachel loved books and was seldom seen without one. She was a fan of the Harry Potter series, attended a Harry Potter Symposium in Canada, wrote fan fiction and was looking forward to attending the premier of the final movie with her friends.
