He was the son of William Bradshaw Linger and Anna Elizabeth Sexton Linger and was the husband of Lenora Henry. Glenda Eisenhour provided the following obituary: The Weston Democrat, Fri. 18 Feb. 1910: "LINGER, KIRK CRAIG, died Monday at his home in Weston of typhoid fever. Remains taken to Vandalia for burial." He was a member of
Modern Woodman of America, Vandalia Camp 10321.
